[12:43] <jezza_mcwaffle> I might feel differently about refitting changes if there were people calling it overpowered but especially after the current advertised changes I dont see people arguing over whether refitting is good or bad, simply that removing it is a step in the wrong direction since the merits of an individual pilot is removed.
[12:44] <titus.tallang> i think the primary issue with refitting was combined with spider tanking (slowcats and super blobs)
[12:45] <titus.tallang> now that both of those are going away i do not see an issue with refitting being OP
[12:45] <titus.tallang> and i would be very sad to see yet _another_ interesting "seems random, but is actually powerful when used well" feature removed
[12:45] <jezza_mcwaffle> The only argument from CCP which does not include slowcats and supers is about massed dreads being able to refit to counter specific DD's. But this only works if your enemy is stupid.
[12:46] <titus.tallang> well, if we can _assume_ dreads have refit capability, then DD damage/dread EHP is simply balanced around that
[12:46] <titus.tallang> while if dreads can't refit then the DD simply has to suck accordingly
[12:47] <titus.tallang> either that or always oneshot dreads which is boring as fuck

[12:47] <titus.tallang> because it just makes you feel powerless
